1. Information We Collect

Here is exactly what we collect, and why.

1.1 Account information

Your phone number, plus any optional profile details you add – name, username, bio, and profile photo.

1.2 Messages and media

We store the messages, photos, videos, and files you send only to deliver them to their recipients and sync them across your devices. We do not read, analyse, or mine their content, and we never use it for advertising. Content posted to groups and channels is kept while that group or channel exists.

1.3 Contacts (optional)

Only if you allow it, we use your device contacts to help you find people you already know. Contact identifiers are hashed, and we never share them with anyone.

1.4 Device and technical data

Basic details needed to run the service – device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and language – used to deliver notifications, keep the service secure, and diagnose problems.

1.5 Diagnostics

Minimal, aggregated signals such as app launches, crashes, and feature usage, so we can keep the app stable and improve it.

2. Your Data Privacy

Privacy is the default, not a setting.

2.1 Your conversations stay private

Messages and media pass through our servers only to be delivered and synced across your devices. They are encrypted in transit, and access is tightly restricted: our staff do not access the content of your messages except where strictly necessary to operate the service or required by law. We never analyse your conversations, build a profile from them, or use their content for advertising.

2.2 We don't sell your data

We never sell or rent your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.

2.3 No hidden tracking

We don't collect your precise location unless you choose to share it in a chat, and we don't track your activity across other apps or websites.

3. How We Use Your Data

3.1 Delivering your chats

To deliver, sync, and back up your messages across your devices.

3.2 Running the app

To provide core features – contacts, notifications, media sharing, channels, stickers, and payments.

3.3 Keeping it safe

To prevent spam and abuse and to keep the service secure.

3.4 Improving reliability

To maintain and improve the app's stability and performance.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers in Europe. All data in transit is protected with TLS encryption, access to production systems is restricted, and our infrastructure is isolated and regularly updated. We are expanding our infrastructure to store the data of users in Uzbekistan within Uzbekistan, in line with the Republic of Uzbekistan's personal-data law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

5.1 While your account is active

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists.

5.2 Deleting messages

When you delete a message, it is removed from our servers.

5.3 Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Your messages, contacts, and profile data are then permanently erased from our systems within 30 days, except limited records we must keep to meet a legal obligation.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on a few third-party services, each receiving only the minimum data it needs:

6.1 Push notifications

Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) deliver notifications to your device.

6.2 Crash and diagnostics

Reporting tools that help us detect and fix stability problems.

We never share your messages or contacts with these services.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and edit

View, update, or delete your profile information directly in the app.

7.2 Delete everything

Delete your account and all associated data.

7.3 Export

Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

7.4 Control contacts

Turn contact syncing on or off, and revoke contact access in your device settings at any time.

8. Children

Reyta is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll note the latest revision date at the top of this page and announce significant changes inside the app. Continuing to use Reyta after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
